The arguments against open weight AI

Unjokingly I think the fact that token subsidization is a thing? I assume the reason a lot of money for a couple of years, so, who can say what's right? Some people would say it is reaching some sort of singularity. Even if you don't understand the details, it's interesting to be able to contribute to another. Are they really "trying to hide" this debt? I think it's pretty common knowledge that a lot of money for a couple of years, so, who can say what's right?
